The annual Stars for Tomorrow benefit, which will aid the after-school and mentoring programs offered by the nonprofit organization Stars, will be held on Friday evening, Sept. 17, at an Altadena estate.
The benefit will be a “hybrid” event; guests can attend in person or watch the ceremony online. The event will begin with a social hour reception and silent auction at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner from Celebration Entertainment Catering and wine from Asuncion Ridge Winery, as well as an auction.
Premier auction items include Dodger Dugout Club seats to see the Dodgers vs. Milwaukee on Oct. 2; a four-night stay in Paso Robles wine country at the beautiful Sommelier house, complete with a one-of-a-kind barrel tasting; and a stay at a delightful home that sleeps 12 and is located in the heart of Mammoth Village.
There will also be an opportunity to support Stars programs directly by purchasing enrichment/school supplies or sponsoring a college road trip for high school students.
The event’s top-level sponsors include Volkswagen Pasadena (Rich and Barbara Wilson), Million Dollar Baby (Daniel and Maryann Fong), Asuncion Ridge Winery, Mary Sue and David Scheidler, Raam Construction, and Chick-fil-A Pasadena. Other sponsors include Steve and Mary Anne Cunningham, Sarkissian & Perera Group, Curt and Kathy Gibson (Compass), Wells Fargo, and Adam and Nancy Stiles.
Other key sponsors include Cameron and Lisa Cripps, the Eng family, Sung and Esther Choe, Gerri and Larry Edson, Rosiris Paniagua, the San Marino Tribune and Outlook Newspapers.
“We look forward to celebrating our after-school and mentoring programs at our upcoming Stars for Tomorrow benefit,” said organization Executive Director Nancy Stiles. “We are so excited to be back in person with our Stars community to celebrate all the ways that we’ve been able to support our Stars students and families throughout the pandemic and share our future plans with our supporters. It will be an evening to remember.”
Event tickets are $200. To purchase tickets, become a sponsor or register to view online, visit starsfortomorrow.org or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
