• The Board of Supervisors approved funding for the replacement of Circle Drive Bridge, a century-old structure spanning Virginia Road in San Marino, announced Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich.

    The San Marino City Council on Friday morning unanimously passed an emergency ordinance prohibiting approval of any permit or entitlement to develop property designated commercial in the land use element of the General Plan and zoned R-1 in response to a controversial application by a developer to build a nine-unit condominium complex at 415 Huntington Drive – former site of East West Bank headquarters and prior, Avery Labels.

    Services will be held this Sunday, August 25 for Sofia Tam, who passed away last Saturday following a heroic battle against cancer.
