Lt. Col. Bruce E. Griggs recently retired from the U.S. Army after 23 years of military service to the nation. At his retirement ceremony, Griggs was decorated with the Defense Meritorious Service Medal and the Order of St. George Medallion. Prior to his retirement, Griggs served as chief of student liaison operations at the George C. Marshall Center at Garmisch Partenkirchen, Germany. He is the son of Marcella Griggs of Blacksburg, VA and Gordon P. Griggs, M.D., of St. Albans Road,
