Space Race Supermen will be presented on Saturday, April 26, at 2 p.m. in Caltech’s Beckman Auditorium. This program is part of Caltech’s Science Saturdays series.
This program will discuss the early phases of the Space Race. in particular Project Mercury, the United States’ first human spaceflight program. The Mercury Seven introduces the first astronauts, along with the successes and failures of the early space program.
Kathryn Stack, a graduate students at Caltech in geological and planetary sciences, will introduce the film and guide the post-screening discussion.
Recommended for ages 8 and up.
Tickets to this performance are priced at $5.00 (unreserved seating). Tickets can be purchased at the Caltech Ticket Office, 101 Winnett Center on the Caltech campus in Pasadena.
