• Police Continue Investigating Arcadia Killing

ARCADIA (CNS) – Police yesterday continued investigating the killing of a 41 year-old woman by her father-in-law.

Li Zhu, 68, was booked at the Arcadia Jail, with bail set at $1 million for the fatal stabbing of his daughter-in-law, Xiaolin Li, inside their apartment in the 900 block of Arcadia Avenue, around 8:25 a.m. Tuesday, Arcadia police Sgt. Kollin Cieadlo said.

Arcadia police Lt. Brian Ortiz said the suspect’s motives remained unknown.

“We’re still not clear about an absolutely definite motive for it, and what took place,” Ortiz said.

Ortiz said the victim and suspect shared the apartment with the victim’s husband, who was the suspect’s son.

Xiaolin Li died at a hospital of multiple stab wounds, Cieadlo said, adding that the suspect was apprehended soon after he left the apartment.
