In what has become an annual tradition, on Saturday, October 19 at 6:00 p.m., the San Marino Public Library Foundation will once again transform the Crowell Public Library as party guests embark on yet another journey to Delicious Destinations.

This year, Delicious Destinations will transport partygoers to the beautiful islands of the South Pacific for an evening filled with delectable food, wine, and live entertainment – all to raise needed funds for the library.

Culinary delights will be provided by award-winning caterer The Spot Gourmet, selected for the 2011 Best of Glendale award by the U.S. Commerce Association for its excellence.

In keeping with this year’s theme, entertainment will include a fire dancer, a conch shell blower, and, performing throughout the evening, hula dancers from local area schools. Guests will be able to take home memories of the evening from a free photo booth.

Partygoers at Delicious Destinations will be able to bid on numerous exciting silent auction items, some highlights are:

*Destination events, like a 7-night Pacific cruise on Princess Cruises, 3-night stay at the luxurious 5-star Halekulani

*Resort and spa on Waikiki Beach in Hawaii and  a one-week vacation at the 5-star Royal Islander Resort in Cancun

*Smith Brothers Restaurant cooking demonstration and dinner for 12

*Huntington Library exclusive tour and tea for six.

*Personal parking space and reserved lawn spot at Lacy Park on the 4th of July, and a a personal banner to be installed by the city on the banner brackets outside the library.

In addition, up for auction will be season and VIP tickets to the Kings, the upcoming USC – UCLA football game, ‘Dancing With The Stars,’ and the Rose Parade.

Delicious Destinations is once again being held by the San Marino Public Library Foundation.

Phyllis Wilburn, President of the Board of the San Marino Public Library Foundation, said, “This is our third year putting on this fundraising event and it just gets better every year.”

Those interested in journeying to Delicious Destinations can purchase tickets at the library, or at the event website at DeliciousDestinations.org
