• Very Special Events at the Crowell Library

    Adrien
On Thursday, September 26 at 7PM, Crowell Library will have the first official concert in their new music series of free quarterly shows, Crowell Concerts! The jazz show Crowell did last spring was kind of a test, and it was successful, and they’ve committed to a full year of shows. This one will be a program of classical guitar duets, featuring John Axume and Patrick Shiroishi. The series is being funded by the San Marino Music Center and the Friends of the Library, and they really want to make this series a great local music venue where people can enjoy great live music right here in town.

On Sunday, October 15 at 2PM Crowell has a very special Opera Talk and for this one they’ll be featuring a live opera singer doing a few songs during the presentation. The Opera is Bizet’s Carmen, one of the most popular operas of all time, with lots of music that will be familiar even to non-opera people.
