• Five People Injured in San Gabriel in Possible Drunk Driving Accident

SAN GABRIEL (CNS) – Five people, including a pedestrian, were injured this morning when a car driven by a man who may have been intoxicated plowed into a parked vehicle in San Gabriel, police said.

The crash took place on the 1600 block of San Gabriel Boulevard just south of Valley Boulevard shortly after midnight, said San Gabriel police Lt. Andy Borrello.

“Five people including one pedestrian who got caught in the middle of the accident were treated for injuries,” Borrello said. “The driver was being investigated for possibly driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.”

Borrello said police did not immediately determine whether the man was driving impaired because he was still at the hospital being treated early today for the injuries he suffered in the rollover crash. The other four people suffered minor injuries, Borrello said.

Four of the injured excluding the pedestrian were in the car that struck the parked vehicle.

Anyone with information on the accident was asked to call the San Gabriel police at (626) 308-2828.
