• PTA Council Hosts Town Hall Meeting On Common Core


    The San Marino PTA Council is hosting a town hall meeting to discuss recently imposed California state Common Core standards on Tuesday, October 1 from 7-9:00 p.m. in the Kenneth F. White Auditorium on the campus of Huntington Middle School.

    All San Marino Unified School District principals and administrators will serve as panelists for the evening. Messages from the State PTA about Common Core standards will also be presented.

    Superintendent Loren Kleinrock will present the 21st century learning skills and California’s new local control and accountability program. Assistant Superintendent Gary McGuigan will talk about the new assessment methods and all principals will share their Common Core adoption plans.
