ALHAMBRA (CNS) – A man who drove up alongside a woman and grabbed her purse, causing her and her 4-year-old daughter to be dragged about 30 feet, remained at large today, Alhambra police said.
The man drove a small dark-colored SUV alongside the 44-year-old woman as she was walking with her daughter in the 1400 block of East Valley Boulevard about 2 p.m. Monday, said Alhambra police Lt. Gabriel Ponce.
“The suspect grabbed the victim’s purse, causing the victim and her daughter to be dragged approximately 30 feet,” he said. “The suspect was last seen fleeing the area in the vehicle with the (purse).”
The mother and daughter suffered abrasions, he said. Alhambra paramedics treated them at the scene, but the mother declined transport to a hospital, Ponce said.
A description of the suspect was not released.
