• Name Released of Motorcyclist Killed on Pasadena Freeway


    LOS ANGELES (CNS) – The coroner’s office today released the name of a motorcyclist killed in a crash on the Pasadena (110) Freeway in Chinatown.

    Sung Woo Kim, 27, of Los Angeles died at the scene of the crash on the southbound Pasadena Freeway at College Street, reported just before 1 a.m. Friday, said coroner’s Lt. Joe Bale.

    A woman who was a passenger in a car that struck the victim’s empty motorcycle helmet, which became stuck under the vehicle, told a news photographer at the scene that she saw two other vehicles strike the downed rider without stopping.

    Wreckage of the bike and the victim’s remains were scattered across lanes, the photographer reported.
