• Pasadena Fire Department Responds Quickly to Carport Fire


    PASADENA – The Pasadena Fire Department responded to a carport fire at 5:30 a.m. on the 100 block of Chester Avenue. No one was injured and the fire took 20 minutes to knock down.

    One adult male and an adult couple escaped without injury. It is estimated that there is about $400,000 in structure damage and $100,000 lost in content. The carport was totaled and the attached back house is uninhabitable. Four cars were damaged (two heavily and two by the heat). Thirty-three fire personnel were on the scene as were two trucks, one rescue ambulance and five engines.

    The cause of the fire is under investigation.
