• Detectives Investigate Arcadia Home Invasion Involving 5 Bandits

ARCADIA (CNS) – Detectives today were investigating a home invasion robbery in Arcadia, where five bandits, at least one armed with a handgun, bound and blindfolded five victims before fleeing with their cash, passports, electronic devices, laptops, jewelry and car keys, police said.

Officers responded around 11:45 p.m. Thursday to a report of a robbery in the 500 block of East Norman Avenue, said Arcadia police Lt. Roy Nakamura.

Initially, two victims at the home were tied up and blindfolded, Nakamura said, but three other people arrived while the robbery was in progress, and they too were bound, blindfolded and robbed, he said.

“Two of the five victims were males and they were struck by the suspects. They sustained minor injuries,” Nakamura said, adding that they were treated at the scene by paramedics. All of the victims are adults, he said.

None of the victims’ vehicles were taken, Nakamura said.

Anyone with information about the robbery was urged to contact Arcadia police at (626) 574-5150. Anonymous tips can also be made by calling Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.
