• Crash on Pasadena Freeway Kills 2


    LOS ANGELES (CNS) – A car overturned on a freeway offramp in the Montecito Heights section of Los Angeles this morning, killing both occupants, authorities said.

    The crash on the Avenue 43 offramp from the northbound Pasadena (110) Freeway was reported at 2:14 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

    Both occupants of the 1997 Honda Accord died at the scene, according to the CHP. One was identified as Mark Jaimes, 23, said coroner’s Chief Craig Harvey. The name of the other man, who was 31, was withheld, pending notification of his relatives.

    According to the preliminary investigation, the younger man was driving the Honda, which crashed for an unknown reason, the CHP reported. No other vehicles were involved in the crash, according to the CHP.
