• Police Seek Driver Involved in Alhambra Burglary

ALHAMBRA (CNS) – Alhambra police Wednesday made public some video of a man driving a blue or gray Japanese import as he picked up a burglary suspect running from officers, helping him avoid arrest.

Police spoke briefly to the driver, but the man, described only as Asian, left the area before officers could question him, Alhambra police Sgt. Jerry Johnson said.

    The burglary suspect got away.

On Tuesday, police were sent to a home in the 500 block of West Ramona Road on a report of burglary about 11 a.m., Johnson said.

Responding officers chased a suspect vehicle away from the area to Valley and  Del Mar boulevards in San Gabriel, where two men got out and ran in different directions, he said.

One of the men, described only as black and about 18, then got into blue or gray Honda or Toyota, Johnson said.

On Del Mar Avenue, the burglary suspect got out of the car and ran, he said.

Detectives do not believe the man being sought was responsible for the burglary, but they want to question him. Anyone with more information as to his name or whereabouts, or the names and whereabouts of the suspected burglars, was asked to call detectives at (626) 308-4845.
