• Lutheran Church in Arcadia Announces Holy Week Services


    Lutheran Church of the Cross invites members of the community to its Holy Week Services starting with a festive Palms Carrying Service at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 24.

    On Holy Thursday at 7 p.m., as a first for this congregation, there will be a Passover Seder Ceremony and Meal in the church’s Fellowship Hall which will be conducted by Rabbi Alan Lachtman and Cantor Richard Schwartz of Temple Beth David in Temple City.

    At noon on Good Friday, the church will host a Community Service on the “Seven Last Words of Christ from the Cross.” Clergy from six different Arcadia churches will preach in 15-minute segments, each one on one of the Seven Words. Attendees will be able to “come and leave as they must.”
