• San Gabriel Election Results – Updated


    The top three vote-getters for the three available San Gabriel City Council seats were Jason Pu, incumbent Kevin Sawkins and Chin-Ho Liao. Pu received 21.5 percent of the vote, while Liao and Sawkins received 20.3 percent. These are unofficial results, but are believed to be the most accurate tally thus far.

    The four year terms being now and end in March of 2017.

    As for Measure SG – Transient Occupancy (Hotel) Tax, the final results are:

    2,143 votes at 77.2 percent – Yes
    631 votes at 22.7 percent – No

    Measure SG will increase taxes for people staying in local hotels.

    City Clerk Eleanor Andrews and City Treasurer John Janosik were returned to office by San Gabriel voters.
