Led by fantastic performances by Katie MacNichol and Pamela Gray, the Pasadena Playhouse recently concluded Noel Coward’s Fallen Angels at the Pasadena Playhouse. The aforementioned actresses, who play Jane Banbury and Julia Sterroll, respectively, displayed their talents Sunday night with dramatic performances that left the audience thoroughly entertained.
Set on Sterroll’s flat in London, the thespians spoke in what I can only imagine were perfect British accents. Saunders, a house maid played by Mary-Pat Green, was delightful as a multitalented maid who showcased her musical prowess in both singing and piano to her employers. Fred Sterroll and Willy Banbury, played by Mike Ryan and Loren Lester, played the duped husbands who still have no idea their wives are actually thinking about their former flame, Maurice, played by Elijah Alexander.
Up next at the Playhouse? One Night With Janis Joplin and also ongoing is Jane Austen Unscripted. One Night begins in March and both conclude around the middle of May.
