• Details of Crash at Carl’s Jr.

WHITTIER (CNS) – Authorities today said drugs or alcohol apparently were not a factor in a two-vehicle collision that resulted in one vehicle crashing into a Carl’s Jr. restaurant in Whittier.

The crash occurred about 6:35 p.m. Wednesday in the 13000 block of Telegraph Road, Whittier police said.

“It appears to be just an accident,” Whittier police Officer Brad White said.

According to the preliminary investigation, two vehicles collided, possibly while one was making a turn, and one of the vehicles hit the restaurant, White said.

Neither motorist was injured, but two restaurant customers were examined at the scene for possible injuries related to broken glass, White said. No one was transported for hospital treatment.
