    Daniel Day-Lewis has won the Oscar for best actor for his role in
    “Lincoln,” making him the first person to win in the category three times.

    Jennifer Lawrence has won the Oscar for best actress for her work
    in “Silver Linings Playbook.”

    The Oscar for achievement in cinematography has been awarded to
    Claudio Miranda for “Life of Pi.”

    “Brave” has been named best animated feature film at the 85th
    Academy Awards.

    The winner of the Academy Award for animated short film is
    “Paperman,” by John Kahrs.

    The first Oscar of the night, for best supporting actor, goes to
    Christoph Waltz for “Django Unchained.” It’s his second Academy Award — he
    also won in 2009 for “Inglourious Basterds.”
