• Adele Talks About Oscar Win For Original Song

HOLLYWOOD (CNS) – Soulful singer Adele joked backstage at the Academy Awards tonight about trying to get an “EGOT” designation next to her name for winning Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony awards — now that she has two of the four.

But the multi-Grammy winner, who shared a best original song Oscar win tonight with Paul Epworth for “Skyfall,” she said she wasn’t sure how to tackle a Tony, noting she doesn’t like musicals. “No offense,” she added.

The singer, whose real name is Adele Adkins, and Epworth got the first draft of “Skyfall” down in 10 minutes, but corrected a rumor that they had recorded the Bond song that quickly.

“We’re good, but we’re not that good,” she said, laughing.

Whatever comes next, it probably won’t be a project with her husband, the singer said.

“We’re just enjoying being parents really. We just discuss how to stay out of the limelight, actually.”

The new mom said she might be headed to the Vanity Fair party, but she didn’t think it would be a late night.

“One glass of champagne and I’m gone these days.”
