• SGV is Encouraged to Start Conserving Water

LOS ANGELES (CNS) – Residents of Pasadena, Altadena, La Canada Flintridge and La Crescenta were urged to conserve water starting today, when a project designed to upgrade a major regional water line and expected to last around eight days gets under way.

The work will reduce water supplies for about 250,000 people in the affected communities, according to the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California.

While the work is proceeding — it’s expected to last until Feb. 28 — regular updates will be posted on the websites www.mwdh2o.com and www.bewaterwise.com.

The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is a cooperative of 26 cities and water agencies serving nearly 19 million people in six counties.
