• Four La Salle Lancers Sign National Letters of Intent

PASADENA - La Salle High School is beating the odds when it comes to college athletic scholarships. The Lancers signed four Division I scholarship NLI’s today. The four Division One student-athletes to sign this morning on National Signing Day, were Daniel De La Torre (UCLA), Stephanie Ferri (Fordham University), Cassidy Rey (University of Denver) and Alex Astorga (Jackson State University in Mississippi).

Daniel is the Division IV California State Cross County Champion and defending Division IV 1600 and 3200 CIF Champion. Cassidy Rey is a two-time, first team All Del Rey League soccer goalie, Stephanie Ferri is a first team Del Rey League catcher for the Lancers softball team, and Alex Astorga is a stand-out soccer player.

La Salle had three Division I signees in the 2011-2012 school year (Bowdien Derby, Colleen McWilliams, and Diamond Ridley-Pierce). In addition, Jordan Hill (2012) signed a NLI in November to play basketball at the University of Wisconsin in the fall of 2013. La Salle athletics is riding a new wave of momentum in its athletic program and the Lancers are looking to continue this wave for many years to come.

Cassidy Rey (University of Denver, soccer).

Alexandria Astorga (Division II Jackson State University, Mississippi, soccer).

    Stephanie Ferri (Fordham University, softball).
