• Pasadena Mother Dies in Robbery

LYNWOOD (CNS) – Authorities yesterday released the name of a woman who was fatally shot during a robbery inside the Lynwood liquor store she owned with her husband.

Sheriff’s homicide detectives were sent to the 11000 block of South Alameda Street, near 110th Street and the border with Watts, at 4:18 p.m. Thursday, said Deputy Kim Manatt of the Sheriff’s Headquarters Bureau.

Sylvia Cho, 56, of Pasadena, died at the scene, said coroner’s Chief Craig Harvey. She was shot multiple times during a robbery, according to the sheriff’s department.

According to CBS2, Cho — the mother of two children — owned the liquor store with her husband. She was found lying on the floor of the business after authorities went there on a 911 call.
