• Crowell Public Library to Celebrate 5th Birthday

San Marino’s Crowell Public Library will toast the fifth birthday of their new home with a party on Saturday, January 26 from 1 – 4:00 p.m.

You are invited. Come and meet local authors and artists, greet this year’s bookmark winners, enjoy the Huntington Middle School String Quartet’s patio performance and herald 2013’s ‘One City, One Book’ selection at this Centennial event. And it includes, of course, a birthday cake. Books from nineteen local authors will be displayed in a case to the right of the library’s entrance doors including Julie Campoy, Lian Dolan, Dora Calott Wang, Irene McDermott, Wayne Jett, Glynis McCants, Andrew D. Bernstein and Elizabeth Pomeroy.

Current or former residents are invited to participant in the ‘Images of  San Marino’  Centennial exhibit of oils, acrylics, watercolors, photographs and graphics.

Come to the birthday party, the hosts – the staff, Trustees, Friends, the Foundation – will welcome you to this “gathering place” that meets the many needs of our community for both today and tomorrow.
