• Pasadena Man Shot; in Critical Condition

PASADENA (CNS) – A man who was shot in Pasadena yesterday afternoon was hospitalized in serious condition.

A man called police to say that his brother had been shot near Chester and Villa streets at 2:12 p.m., said Pasadena police Lt. Pete Hettema.

Major streets in the area were closed for about five hours as police investigated the shooting. Two men were seen leaving the area in a tan-colored vehicle and are persons of interest, Hettema said.

It appeared that the shooting victim, and possibly his brother, had been involved “in some kind of disagreement,” Hettema said.

“We’re still trying to figure out if family members or who knows were involved,” Hettema said.

The shooting didn’t appear to be gang-related, Hettema said

“We have a lot of people out there, but so far we’re just scratching our heads on this one so far,” Hettema said.
