• Christmas Events at Lake Avenue


    Lake Avenue Church will sponsor several musical events during the Christmas season, including children’s programs, a Messiah Sing-Along, and candlelight services. These events are:

    - A Celebrar La Navidad! Friday, Dec. 21, 6-9 p.m. in Family Life 300 (Warehouse). A cross-cultural Christmas event by Comunidad de las Américas, featuring a Christmas production, games, activities, and traditional food including pozole, tamales, bunuelos (a crisp cinnamon sugar treat) and Champurrado (Mexican hot chocolate).     - Christmas Eve Family Service, Monday, Dec. 24, 4-5 p.m. in the Worship Center. A casual service for the whole family led by worship band and vocalists. Message by Pastor Greg Waybright. Childcare available for ages birth to 2 years.

    - Christmas Eve Candlelight Services, Monday, Dec. 24, Worship Center, 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. Familiar Christmas carols led by the choir, orchestra, worship band, children’s choir, and handbell choir. A special message of Christ’s birth by Pastor Greg Waybright, and concluding with the lighting of candles.

    - Christmas Carol Sing Along, Tuesday, Dec. 25, 10 a.m. in the Chapel. Celebrate the coming of Christ on Christmas morning with carols and Christmas hymns. Led by Jeremy Rose and Duane Funderburk, with message from Pastor Greg Waybright. Childcare will not be available.
