• Pasadena Fire Causes $200,000 in Damage

PASADENA (CNS) – A fire inside an attached garage damaged two homes and five vehicles in Pasadena today, and caused about $200,000 in damage, a fire department spokeswoman said.

The blaze inside an attached garage at a home on the 300 block of Linda Rosa Avenue, just south of the Foothill (210) Freeway, broke out about 4:50 a.m., said Pasadena Fire Department spokeswoman Lisa Derderian.

“The flames spread to a second nearby home and was knocked down in about 20 minutes,” Derderian said.

“In addition to the damage to the two homes the fire also heavily damaged three motorcycles, a truck and one car,” Derderian said. “We estimate the blaze caused $100,000 damage to the contents and another $100,000 damage to the two homes.”

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remained under investigation by the Pasadena Fire Department, Derderian added.

I’m just thankful nobody was injured. It’s bad to lose your home and belongings, but at least they can be repaired and replaced.
