• Schools Foundation Seeks Trustees for 3-Year Terms

It’s an organization that has has assured the school district’s place atop the finest in the state of California, and the San Marino Schools Foundation is now beginning the process of selecting ten new trustees to begin three-year terms in July, 2013.

Participation as a trustee is open to San Marino Unified School District-area residents.

The Board of Trustees is comprised of thirty volunteer members, one third of whom complete their term each year.

The primary responsibility of a Trustee is to implement the fundraising activities of the Foundation. Trustees are also expected to attend monthly board meetings, represent the Foundation in the community and actively participate on a committee.

Trustees work each year on one of the four primary committees of the Foundation: Annual Campaign, Special Projects, Community Relations, and Endowment.

Any resident who would like to be considered for a Trustee position should submit a letter of interest and a biography by November 9, 2012 to the San Marino Schools Foundation, 1665 West Drive, San Marino, CA, 91108, to the attention of the  Nominating Committee.

For inquiries or additional information, please contact Colleen Fitzpatrick of the Schools Foundation at (626) 299-7014.
