• Community Groups Bond to Void Measure J ‘Blank Check’


    Supervisors Mike Antonovich and Don Knabe are rapidly being joined by a widespread group of citizens and organizations to block a “blank check” to Metro – Measure J – which will appear on the November ballot.

    In a rebuke to Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and Third District Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky, community leaders from all over Los Angeles County met yesterday at the Beverly Hills Unified School District office to form the ‘No On Measure J Coalition,’ an alliance to oppose Measure J.
