• End of Watch Comes Out a Winner at the Box Office


    LOS ANGELES (CNS) – In a tight three-way race at the box office, the drama “End of Watch” emerged victorious, claiming the top spot with a $13.1 million debut weekend, according to final figures released today.

    “House at the End of the Street” finished a close second with $12.3 million, while Clint Eastwood’s “Trouble with the Curve” placed third with $12.2 million, according to Hollywood.com Box Office.

    The 3-D re-release of the animated hit “Finding Nemo” earned $9.6 million between Friday and Sunday to finish fourth for the weekend. The 3-D thriller “Resident Evil: Retribution” placed fifth with $6.7 million.

    Rounding out the top 10 films of the weekend were “Dredd” ($6.3 million); “The Master” ($4.4 million); “The Possession” ($2.6 million); “ParaNorman” ($2.3 million); and “Lawless” ($2.2 million).
