PASADENA – The Houston Rockets basketball team announced today that East West Bank is a new marketing partner for their 2012-14 seasons. The partnership will provide East West Bank with both in-arena and on-air exposure to fans across the US and around the world. In addition, East West Bank will collaborate with the Houston Rockets to support community development programs in Houston.
“Over the past decade, the Rockets have developed and established an international following, particularly throughout Asia,” said Rockets Chief Executive Officer Tad Brown. “This partnership with East West Bank, a leader in the international banking community, will add to that global presence. East West Bank is very committed to the communities they serve and we look forward to partnering with them to develop and implement these new, education-based community programs.”

We believe that through our joint efforts we can further support the communities and boost sports communication between the US and Greater China,” said Emily Wang, Senior Vice President, Director of Marketing for East West Bank.
According to the partnership, East West Bank will support the Rockets’ community efforts with its unique industry expertise and well established cross-border network. The company will partner with the Rockets to increase financial literacy amongst the youth in the Houston Independence School District (HISD). Some students in this program will be honored on the court during a Rockets home game, and a few students will get the amazing opportunity to travel to China.
