• Man Attempts to Force His Way Into Miley Cyrus’s Home

STUDIO CITY (CNS) – Police arrested a man for reportedly trying to force his way into the Studio City home of actress/singer Miley Cyrus.

At one point, the suspect smashed his body into a wall in an attempt to break into the home, said Los Angeles police Lt. Brian Wendling of the North Hollywood station. But the singer was not at home.

“The officers are working on the arrest report as we speak,” Wendling said.     At about 4 a.m., the suspect identified himself as a friend of the actress, and her employees — speaking through the front door — told him that Cyrus was not a home and that they would call police if he would not leave, he said.

“They (the employees) started to walk away and heard a banging sound as though he was trying to break through the wall,” he said.     When someone at the home asked him to leave, KTLA reported, the man started lighting candles outside. But Wendling could not confirm that account.     The employees called police, and arriving officers saw the suspect run into some bushes. The officers ordered him to surrender and he was arrested without incident, Wendling said.     KTLA reported that police took a pair of scissors from the suspect, who had a long criminal record in Texas — another account the police lieutenant could not confirm.
