• Man’s Body Found In Lake On Property of Solvang Guest Ranch

A worker at the Alisal Guest Ranch in Solvang found the body of a man in a lake on resort property at approximately 8:15 a.m. Wednesday morning, according to Sergeant Mark Williams of the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department, who said the release of the identity will be held until the completion of a coroner’s investigation.

The lake is located just a few hundred yards from Alisal Road. San Marino resident Kurt Brimberry, 55, has been missing since an apparent one-car accident on Alisal Road on Saturday, August 18.

Brimberry was reportedly returning to the vacation site after running errands when his silver Mercedez Benz SUV was involved in a collision with a tree, according to a report from the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department. The vehicle was totaled and Brimberry was not at the scene.
