• Final ‘Cal Phil at The Mill’ Concert of Summer Takes Place Saturday Night


    The Old Mill Foundation hosts their third and final Cal Phil at The Mill concert – featuring a brass quintet – this Saturday, August 18 at 8:00 p.m. on the Pomegranate Patio.

    California Philharmonic musicians include Robert Feller, trumpet; Raymond Burkhart, trumpet’ Stephen Kaminsky, french horn, Loren Marsteller, trombone and Fred Greene on the tuba. The program includes music from Bach, Boyce, Debussy, Handel, Holst and Joplin.

    The music begins at 8:00 p.m. with grounds opening at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $15 per seat with advance reservations and $20 at the door. Call The Old Mill’s office between 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. for reservations at 449-5458.

    Cal Phil at The Mill brings California Philharmonic musicians to San Marino’s El Molino Viejo – The Old Mill) – for intimate evenings of chamber music surrounded by The Mill’s beautiful pomegranate trees and lush gardens. In addition to fine music, concertgoers are invited to view the building, learn about its history, and enjoy the latest California Art Club exhibition, The California Coast in The Mill’s Granary Gallery.
