Work on the I-210 Gold Line Bridge continues as on-site crews began work late yesterday afternoon until 6 a.m. this morning.
The Metro Construction Authority also recently met with homeowners and future neighbors of what will be a 24-acre, $120 million maintenance and operation facility. The meeting included information about the status of the Pasadena to Azusa project as well as an in-depth look at the 85% design submittal for thefacility.
The San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments also voted two weeks ago 1904 to endorse a new Measure R, which extends the life of the existing half-cent transit sales tax for another 30 years and promises to jump-start 12 rail and subway projects by borrowing future Measure R tax revenues.
The extension does not raise the tax but continues it until 2069. The Board of Supervisors meet in early August to cast their votes to decide whether or not to place the measure on the November ballot, a measure popular among SGV elected officials.
