ALTADENA (CNS) – Three bears that stopped at an Altadena home for a dip
in the hot tub Saturday may be the same mother and two cubs that visited the
    foothill city May 3.
The trio were reported on a 4-acre property in the 1400 block of
Edgecliff Lane about 3:30 p.m., but they were nowhere to be found when
    sheriff’s deputies arrived.
Black bears were introduced into the San Gabriel Mountains in 1933.
Sheriff’s deputies said all local bears are
descendants of 11 “problem” bears relocated from Yosemite National Park.
