ARCADIA (CNS) – A man was found shot and dying today in an
unincorporated area of Arcadia, sheriff’s officials said.
The shooting death was reported at 11:41 a.m. in the 5200 block of Tyler
Avenue, Deputy Guillermina Saldana of the Sheriff’s Headquarters Bureau said
    in a written statement.
Deputies arriving at the location found a man who appeared to be
suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso lying on the sidewalk,
    Saldana said.
The man was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Saldana
    said.
“Preliminary sources indicated that a Hispanic man was seen running
away from the location northbound on Tyler Avenue,” Saldana said.
The victim — whose name was being withheld — may have been involved in
a physical altercation with the suspected gunman before the shooting
    happened, according to broadcast reports.
