• San Marino Celebrates Memorial Day

The city of San Marino paid tribute to local veterans today, May 28. Mitch Lehman emceed, welcomed and introduced the event, which featured a sharing by Mayor Richard Sun, an invocation by San Marino Police Chief John Schaefer, “God Bless America” by Lianna Gutierrez and a host of inspirational speeches. All San Marino military personnel who have served and were present (about 30 of them) gave a brief account of when and where they served.

Fourteen-year-old Chaz Davis gave an electrifying speech about the importance of patriotism in schools and criticized the lack of patriotism in American youth in recent decades.

The San Marino Tribune would like to thank each and every American soldier and veteran. We will continue to shower them with support and prayers. We are grateful for the sacrifice and service of each and every person. Thank you!
