    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of San Marino has a vacancy on the Planning Commission beginning July 1, 2012. Appointment of the vacancy, to be made by the San Marino City Council, is to fulfill a four (4) year term of office scheduled to expire on June 30, 2016. The Planning Commission meets once each month on the fourth Wednesday at 7:00 P.M. in the Council Chamber. The Planning Commission is an advisory agency of the City and is charged with such duties and shall be granted such powers as are granted to municipal planning commissions under provisions of the laws of the State and under provisions of the San Marino Municipal Code. San Marino residency is required. The Design Review committee meets the first and third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 P.M. to review building plans to ensure architectural compatibility with the neighborhood.     Not of edible crops, but instead the lovely sounds being heard out of the mouths and musical instruments of Huntington Middle School (“HMS”) students. Sixty percent of HMS students participate in the outstanding Music program offered by the middle school. During the past seven months, the students have diligently practiced every day at school under the guidance of the dedicated HMS performing arts teachers. They have learned to express themselves with the language of music, which they use now in their performances and which they will carry with them throughout their lives.
