• Surveillance Video Helps Lead to Arrest


    LOS ANGELES (CNS) – Surveillance video of a strong-arm robbery at an El
    Sereno gas station has led to the arrest of a 41-year-old man, police said
    today.
    Detectives received a tip after releasing the video on Monday, according
    to the Los Angeles Police Department. As a result of the tip, Manuel Jaime
    was arrested about 2 p.m. on Tuesday in the 1000 block of Edith Avenue in
    Alhambra, police said.
    The video showed the robber’s image and getaway car.
    The robbery occurred in the 5300 block of South Huntington Drive on Jan.
    29 about 10 p.m.
    The bandit walked into the gas station, grabbed a clerk behind the
    counter and demanded money from the cash drawer while simulating that he had a
    handgun, police said. He drove off in a late-90s dark colored sedan.
