• Maranatha Football Off to Strong Start

PASADENA – The Minutemen of Maranatha are off to a strong start, with wins over Big Bear, Azusa and archrival La Salle.

Parent and volunteer Gary Lee attributes their recent success to their defense, which was able to hold La Salle to just 3 points, despite five first half turnovers. Maranatha avenged last year’s defeat to Big Bear by doing extremely well against them in their first game 41-12.
Led by head coach Pete Karavedas, the Minutemen have had strong play from Omar Younger, Matt Hall, Matthew Payton and Victor Chavez, to name a few.
Lee said the excitement and adrenaline is greater this year, especially because he has two boys on the varsity squad.
