EL MONTE (CNS) – An alleged robber suspected in nine holdups around the
San Gabriel Valley was behind bars today, sheriff’s deputies said.
Anselmo Rincon, 32, was picked up June 16 and is expected to face
charges in a string of robberies — at a Subway sandwich shop and several dry
cleaners — in which he used a replica gun that was found in his car, sheriff’s
Sgt. Michael Thomas said.
He was being held in lieu of $100,000 bail, pending arraignment in
Pomona, according to the sheriff’s department.
