• Maude and Millie Have the Secret to a Long, Healthy Life

SOUTH PASADENA – Barbara Oliver of Pasadena has quite a tale to tell. She says that her mother’s cat, Millie, was born 26-years ago to a mother named Pixie, who had her last litter when she was 12. In human years, not unusual. In cat years, very unusual.

That’s because Millie, once a great hunter of mice, gofer and birds, is 126-years-old in human years. More importantly, she has been a rock of companionship for Maude after Maude’s husband Frank died two years ago. Maude thinks that every elderly person should have a cat. Maude is now 91 years old. Mille, in human years, again, is 126 years old in human years.
