• The San Marino Guild of Huntington Hospital Installs New 2010 – 2011 Executive board at Installation Luncheon at San Gabriel Country Club


    Mrs. Kunibert Gerhardt of San Marino was recently installed as the 2010-2011 Presidentof the San Marino Guild of the Huntington Hospital. Peggy Yingling,past president, installed the new officers at a luncheon held at the SanGabriel Country Club.

    Other members of the executive board include Mrs. OsvaldoFerramola of Arcadia, First Vice President; Mrs. Peter Mason of South Pasadena,Second Vice President; Ms. Betsy Bogue of South Pasadena, Recording Secretary;Mrs. Clint Whitten of Arcadia, Corresponding Secretary; Mrs. Bruce Bogue of San Marino, Treasurer; Mrs. James Little of Pasadena, Parliamentarian; Mrs. Dale Burger of San Marino,Immediate Past President.

    This year’s officers reflect 174 years of volunteering for Huntington Hospital. The new president, MimiGerhardt, has been an active member of the San Marino Guild since 1977 and hasheld many positions on the Board of Directors, including being Chair of the SanMarino Celebrity Series more than half a dozen times. In addition, she hasserved as Guild President 27 years ago. Mimi brings experience and enthusiasmas new leader of the Guild.

    The San Marino Guild is a 58 year-old volunteer organizationwhich supports the neonatal intensive care unit of the hospital, as well as thepediatric and maternity units.

    This year, members raised money for the new pediatricsection of the Trauma and Emergency Center of the Huntington.

    Plans are already underway for the 43rd season of the SanMarino Celebrity Series. This is the Guild’s primary fundraising activity. 2011will be an exciting season of humor and music that the entire family willenjoy. There will be four afternoon events, beginning, Sunday, January 30.2011,with “Laughter and Magic Unleashed.”
