Sierra Madre Honors… Recognition andAppreciation Dinnerwill recognize all out-going City Commissioners aswell as extraordinary community members, organizations and employees. Pleasetake a moment to review the awards listed below and nominate any person youfeel is eligible for such an honor.

GeorgeMaurer Lifetime Service Award

Presentedto a person/entity that most strongly represents a commitment to serving andvolunteering, which is the true spirit of Sierra Madre.

WistariaAward

Inrecognition of City/Community partnership, presented to a local business ororganization whose major contributions to the City/Community of Sierra Madrehave demonstrated a true partnership that assists in and provides services,programs, or enhances the general welfare of the community as a whole.

PoliceChief’s Special Award

Presentedby the Sierra Madre Chief of Police to an individual who has demonstratedoutstanding dedication to duty (employee) or service (community) in resolving acommunity law enforcement-related issue.

PublicSafety Award

Presentedby the Mayor to an individual, either an employee or citizen, who took actionto protect and maintain the safety of the community by taking lifesavingaction.

PublicService Award

Employeeof the Year – presented by the Mayor upon the recommendation of the CityManager to an extraordinary city employee who has represented remarkablecustomer and public service as well as dedication to the citizens of SierraMadre over the course of a year.

CommunityYouth Service Award

Presentedto a young adult in the community who demonstrates dedication and outstandingservice to the community.
